Localized laryngeal amyloidosis: A case report and review of literature

Abstract

 

We report a case of localized laryngeal amyloidosis in a young female patient. Case report and a review of the world literature along with proper history taking, clinical, laryngoscopic and histopathological examination. The case presented with suspicion of benign laryngeal lesion. Microlaryngeal Excision of the lesion was done. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of laryngeal Amyloidosis .Further detailed examination and investigations did not reveal involvement of any other system. Primary Laryngeal Amyloidosis gives appearance of laryngeal neoplastic pathology and can be proved only by histopathological examination.
